The RSGE group is interested in spatio-temporal analyses of the biosphere at local to regional scales. We use Earth observation data to characterise habitats and ecosystems with regards to their species composition and functional properties, quantify dynamic changes, and develop methods for an exploration of spatial data. The RSGE group puts an emphasis on data acquired with field spectrocopy, unmanned aerial systems, and airborne sensors. These data are processed and analysed with machine learning techniques.
