Abstract

I am a doctoral researcher at the Leipzig Institute for Meteorology, University of Leipzig. My research interest circles around aerosols and clouds, and their impact on our climate. The aim of my PhD is to formulate a new methodology to retrieve cloud condensation nuclei concentrations from spaceborne lidar (CALIPSO) measurements. This will take us a step ahead in quantifying the aerosol indirect forcings in climate models, thereby reducing the associated uncertainties.
